Once your enquiry has been submitted, we will review the information you have provided to better understand the scope, requirements and direction of your bespoke leather commission, or product range. We will then contact you to arrange either a phone consultation or, where appropriate, an in-person meeting at the Wild Path Leather studio in York to discuss the design, materials and practical details in more depth.

Following your consultation, the bespoke design will be developed through measurements, sketches and a full paper template created before any leather is cut. This stage allows the proportions, structure, fit and practical details of the piece to be refined and approved in advance, helping ensure the final construction is carefully planned around the agreed design.

We discuss the most suitable leather, thread, hardware, lining and decorative details around the intended use, structure and character of the finished piece. Each material is chosen to balance appearance, durability and how the piece is expected to age.

Once the design and materials are approved, the final piece will be individually cut, stitched, shaped, assembled and finished by hand in the Wild Path Leather studio, with each detail refined for durability, function and character.
